Who We Are

This is the IRISS Medical Technologies Limited Internet Privacy Policy. You can write to us at Acre House, 11-15 William Road, London, NW1 3ER, UK. We can be reached by e-mail at info@irissmedical.com, or you can call us on +44 208 209 3201.

Your privacy is important to us and we work in accordance with the Data Protection Act to ensure your data is both secure and appropriate. This Privacy Policy works with our website and sales terms and conditions found on the legal page. At all times, however, IRISS Medical reserves the right to disclose information where required to do so by law or to comply with valid legal process to protect the company’s rights or property, or during emergencies when safety is at risk.

Data We Collect and How We Use It

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

IRISS Medical Technology’s servers automatically record the IP address of each connection to our site and the specific web pages visited during that connection. Although that information is stored in the server log files, no individual is authorised to access those files except for system maintenance, or we may use the information to help improve our web site and our services by better understanding our audience. We also collect your e-mail addresses if you communicate with us by e-mail, as well as other information that you might supply voluntarily, such as app registration. We may use this information to respond to an e-mail or other enquiry or request, to help improve our web site and our services, or to send updates or notices that we think may be of interest to you or are required for regulatory purposes. We do not share with third parties any customer details, or the areas of our web site that users visit or other navigational information.

If you register to use any of our applications, we may ask you for your name, title (e.g., ophthalmologist, optometrist, resident, etc.), postal address, e-mail address and telephone number. We may use this data to send you updates or notices that we think may be of interest. We may also combine this information with other generally or publicly available information to help us identify visitors’ preferences or interests. Again, we do not share with any third party, any bulk or individually-identifiable data we collect when you register.

Information that users write or post in public or in member “chat” areas or bulletin boards, if any, is available to the public and IRISS Medical does not control use of, or access to, that information.

IRISS Medical’s web site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

How You Can Control and Update Data About You

We want to be sure that we keep only the most up-to-date information about you in our records. Therefore, whenever you believe that your contact information needs to be updated, you can e-mail us at info@irissmedical.com to correct or update your contact information.

You may choose at any time to remove your name, telephone numbers, and postal and e-mail addresses from the lists we use to send our marketing materials, and elect not to receive correspondence from us by sending us an e-mail to info@irissmedical.com.

Other Internet sites you visit may have their own privacy policies or no policy at all. Other web-sites might use personal information differently than our policy permits. We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site before providing any personal information.

Data Integrity and Security

We use state-of-the-art technology to keep any information you provide as secure as possible. Only authorised IRISS Medical employees are permitted to have access to individually-identifiable data about our users, and that access is limited to what is reasonably needed to perform an employee’s responsibilities, such as providing updates or notices or customer service.

Cookies

Statistics can be collected by placing a cookie on your computer for general demographic purposes (eg. 100 people from England, 20 from the USA) but this is not used to identify individual users.
